Verne was admitted to the Maine and Federal Court Bars in 1999 and the United States Supreme Court Bar in 2003. Prior to joining Trafton and Matzen, he practiced for 2 years with the firm of Gosselin, Dubord and Rabasco in Lewiston, Maine. He has been with Trafton and Matzen since February of 2002. Verne’s practice has been in general litigation with a focus on personal injury, construction litigation, family law, and criminal defense.
Verne is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maine State Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyer’s Association, and the Maine Trial Lawyer’s Association. In 2005 Verne was admitted to the United States Court of Federal Claims.
Verne is also an active member of his community, having served as a City Councilor in the City of Auburn, a current Board member of the Auburn/Lewiston YMCA, and a current Board member of Central Maine Health Ventures.
